Super Hero Card: Foster Brother Crafts

This morning my foster brother (8 on the inside) decided he wanted to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge & finished it JUST as the deadline passed. Luckily for him his card fit PERFECTLY into this week's challenge so he's written a blog post for it & wanted me to post it so that he can win this week. I have a feeling he's going to want a blog all of his own soon :)

"I started off with the background which I used rough card. I used orange purple blue yellow red. I also used the distress colours to make my sky. I coloured the paper black and cut pieces of buildings and stuck it on my card.
I made a bubble so the super hero can speak and a dog + cat and a shield coloured all my stuff to make it nice. I stuck it to the card and it was finished."

The sky was done using distress inks & a blending tool on ranger water colour cardstock, then it was sprayed with water. The buildings were strips of Neenah solar white with black soot distress ink blended all over & the stamps are from the Mama Elephant Little Heros stamp set & had been stamped in versafine ink on Neenah solar white, it colours just as well with alcohol markers as memento if it's left to dry for a little bit & this is a sheet that is covered in these little super heros that I stamped for my foster brother to colour in whenever he wanted them for a card :)
Everything is adhered using foam tape & the scotch tape glider thing that my foster brother adores.

I did the skin & hair colouring on the dog, cat & super hero because I'm very protective of my alcohol markers, I helped him line up the dies & I fussy cut the speech bubble but other than that my foster brother did the whole thing by himself :)

  1. What a great design - love the shades of color in the background and the way you constructed your city! Thanks for playing along with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
