Watercolour Stories

Two post in one day, I am going to pay for this but powerchair football was cancelled this week so I have spare energy :S I NEVER have spare energy :)
This is another card for the Pretty Pink Post blog hop, it's a super easy background, like crazy easy :)

This is literally made using scrap paper. I was moving my peerless watercolours into the storage I use for them (4x6 simple stories scrapbook in the 3x4 inserts) & inbetween each of the swatches I wiped my waterbrush off onto this pieces of watercolour paper. You could totally get the same effect by picking up a little bit of colour, dabbing it off a little bit onto a paper towel & then scribble (I know because I checked ^^).

To turn the scrap piece of paper into a card I trimmed it by 1cm on the long side, cut a piece of velum to the same size & then stamped this cute scene using Versamark ink & stamps from the 'Storybook' & 'More Stories' stamp sets from Avery Elle (which I just got & adore! super cute). I then heat embossed it with Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder (I actually preferred the Wow Pale Gold Super Fine embossing powder which I used on my first attempt but when that messed up I transferred to the Ranger powder). I dotted a tiny bit of glue behind the embossed images & then stuck it on an angle to make the kite look higher up & the deer look more like it's looking up :)

Then I stamped the banner & missing you sentiment on Neenah Solar White card using Versamark ink, embossed it using the Ranger embossing powder & then fussy cut it to look like it had been die cut with the border that that leaves. I then adhered it to the card using doubled up foam tape & added a lot of looped gold thread behind the banner....then I finally stuck the whole thing to an A6 sized Neenah Desert Storm Card using foam tape.
Again I LOVE the way this card turned out, it's again different to any card I've done before. That's the good thing about having a really new (newish) hobby, there are so many totally new things to do ^^
