Background Check: Pastel Textures

As I said in my last post I've been doing the online card classes recently, specifically the background check online card class which is live at the moment. I finally managed to get some more crafting done :) I managed to get two cards done in one go so you get to see two cards, two techniques, same colour palette :)

This background is actually an American sized card (my first one) done using a sheet of ranger watercolour paper, distress inks in shaded lilac, milled lavender, spun sugar & Victorian velvet, a little Heidi Swapp Gold Lame spray, some foam tape, a sheet of Neenah solar white & the impression obsession feather dies.

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant stamp set with all the little animals & balloons & umbrellas & stuff & it's white heat embossed onto some Simon Says Stamp fog cardstock.

The other card has a totally different technique set & is totally the best card I've done in a long time :)

This card was super easy, seriously. I blended some Hero Arts Dusty Blue dye ink & some Simon Says Stamp Thistle & Twirling Tutu dye ink in from the right top hand corner using the round Tim Holtz blending tool onto some Neenah solar white. After that I applied some embossing paste through a Simon Says Stamp medium polka dot stencil & allowed it to dry.

The sentiment is from the same mama elephant stamp set the last one is from & it's embossed in ranger princess gold on simon says stamp fog cardstock. I added on some gold thread, used a little foam tape to stick on the sentiment then added on some simon says stamp & pretty pink posh sequins.

Supplies list to come.
