Bear Hugz

Hey everyone. As I said before I've been really sick recently & despite picking up a little bit I'm never going to get back to where I was, that's not how my M.E. works.
That means I am going to have to limit the number of posts I do, probably only one a week. But that doesn't mean I won't still be making cards so the cards I don't manage to post on here will be posted over on my instagram if you are interested in seeing them.

Anyway, onto this card....

I don't know what it is about this card but however many times I look at this it looks very 'clean & simple'. It's busy but it's got a one layer kind of feeling & I love all the thin lines.

My favourite thing about it though is how the stamped images overlap the stitched border. It's actually a very simple to achieve, I fussy cut the parts of the image that would overlap the die, then when I ran it through the die cutting machine I made sure those parts were on top of the die rather than underneath it.

I stamped the image with memento ink masking the overlapping pieces using post-its, the blue parts were stamped using (I think) Simon Says Stamp tumbled glass (I made this card quite a while ago, I'm not 100% sure what I used at the time).

The teddy bear is coloured to look like my favourite teddy bear (I've had it since I was a baby & he's my go to comfort when I'm in pain or really really ill). The girl was honestly just me practicing using new copics & some colour theory....I guess it worked out pretty well ^^

The background piece of paper is another piece of solar white with a lot of simon says stamp tumbled glass blended over it & then raindrops stamped on it using the same tumbled glass.

The background looked plain wrong when I put it together but I had no idea what to do...I went with a gut instinct & drew this line around it using the copics 0.1 multiliner pen....see how shaky my hands are, it always amazes me that I can colour with my copics despite having such shaky hands ^^

Basically that's it I think....the coloured enamel dots are from simple stories & the white one is from doodle bug ^^

Supplies list will come eventually :)
